Ileana
Ileana burst into the scene with the famous Fair and Lovely ad. The ad has a simple girl, who after using Fair and Lovely gets spotted by a renowned director who offers her a role in movies. Ileana with her cute and innocent looks played the simple girl, whereas the role of director was played by Rakesh Roshan for the north Indian version of the commercial and by famous Malayalam director Priyadarshan for the south Indian version.
The ad turned into reality when Y.V.S Choudary spotted her and gave her a dream debut with Devadas. The romantic film turned out to be an instant hit. Ileana got due recognition but still she wasn’t a star or dream girl to the telugu audience. But with the next set of great events her life took a drastic turn. Puri Jagannath scripted the role of Shruthi keeping Ayesha Takia in mind. Ayesha had earlier acted in the Nag-Puri film Super. But with Ayesha primarily concentrating on Bollywood, rejected the role. And as luck would have it, it fell into Ileana’s lap. The film turned out to be a blockbuster overtaking all existing records in the telugu film industry. Ileanas beauty also added immensely to this huge success. With this success there was no looking back.
Though she was just 2 films old she became the highest paid actress in telugu. The craze that she has got was the feminine version of what Hrithik Roshan got after the success of Kaho na pyaar hai. Some of the films like khatarnak which aimed at solely cashing on this newly found fame bombed at the box office. So too were some movies from great production banners like M.S. Raju’s film Aata opposite Siddarth and Dil Raju’s film Munna opposite Prabhas. But she tasted success again with Ntr’s Rakhee and Pawan Kalyans smash hit Jalsa.

She is set to make a comeback in tamil movies with a yet to be titled vijay starrer in the direction of prabhudeva. There are speculations that she is going to be cast in Vikrams next movie in the direction of K.S.Ravi Kumar.
There are also speculations that she has signed opposite SRK himself in the hindi version of Athadu to be directed by Santosh Sivan.
