Story:The story is closely knitted with five charecters.

1)Vivek Chakravarthy(Manoj), wants to become a rock star unlike his dad who served the nation till his last breath. He lives in Bangalore and he gets a live concert chance for the New Year eve in Hyderabad. He misses his flight and starts to Hyderabad in a car with his friends…

2)Ramulu(Nagayya) is a poor weaver in Siricilla. He owes 50000 to a Patel(local financiar). He finds it difficult to pay back the money and the financier takes Ramulu’s grandson as a bonded labour. Ramulu want to get back his grandson but the only way he finds to get the money is by selling his daughter in law’s kidney…

3)Saroja(Anushka) is a prostitute in Amalapuram. She gets a little pay though she has a great demand. The brothel house owner takes the major share of Saroja’s earnings. Saroja decides to move to Hyderabad and start her own brothel house. She escapes from Amalapuram and lands in Hyderabad…

4)Raheemuddin Qureshi(Manoj Bajpai) wants to leave India as he feels suffocated with the communal discrimination in Hyderabad. His wife gets a miscarriage due to a communal fight…

5)Anand Raju aka Cable Raju (Allu Arjun) lives in Jublee Hills basti and want to become rich by marring a rich girl Pooja(Deeksha Seth). He hides the truth that he lives in a slum and pretends to be a rich guy to Pooja. Pooja askes him to get tickets for the New Year event so that she can introduce him to her parents at the event. The cost of tickets for a couple is 39,998. Raju starts searching ways to earn those money…

Artists Performance: We don’t see any hero or heroine in this movie. We see only artists playing what they were told to. Allu Arjun, Manoj and Manoj bajpai scores well with their performance. Anushka looked volouptous. Deeksha Seth looked very fresh and has a bright future in tollywood. Lekha Washington and Siya gowtam have small roles compared to others. Bramhanandam played a single scene role as ‘Bapatla bairagi’.

Technical Details: Krish took utmost care to establish the roles. There are some very good dialogues penned by him, I remember a couple of them,

1)Time bagaleka pothe arati pandu thinna kuda pannu udthundi.

2) Perugannam lo peruguntundi kani pulihora lo puli undadhu.

Krish has handled a high intensity climax in a very good way.

Music by Keeravani should have been much better. Editing by Shravan was good.

Super Verdict: Rated as the first multi starrer of the modern Telugu cinema,Vedam gets critical acclaim for message oriented approach by Krish. Due to lack of entertaining elements and lot of message to deliver, Vedam is not a good bet for common audience.
