Savitri was born on 6th December, 1936 in Tadepalli mandal, Guntur district. She is considered as the best heroine ever in Telugu cinema and even today is used as a benchmark for acting. Eenati ee Bandham Yenatidho (Muuga Manasulu, 31st January 1964) – Director by Adurthi Subba Rao. ‘Manam’ was not the only movie where Akkineni Nageswara Rao was involved in 3 generation reincarnation theme, Muuga Manasulu was done 50 years prior. Just shows how phenomenal Career spread.
Manase Kovelage (Mathru Devatha, 1969) –
The film is directed by Savithri herself. Apart from NTR, it also stars Sobhan Babu and Chandrakala.
Emandoi Srivaaru (Manchi Manasulu , April 11th, 1962) – Another musical hit by K.V.Mahadevan. Its a remake of Tamil hit ‘Kumudham’.
Chandruni Minchu (Raktha Sambandam, 1st November 1962) – Released on the then AP Formation day. A brother and sister sentiment story. The audience accepted the lead pair who were the leading stars at that time.
